About the Author
David Coggins is the author and illustrator of the travel memoir, The Nostalgic Heart, recipient of an Independent Publisher Book Award. His eight-volume set of daybooks, published under the pseudonym Robert Carolina, is in the collection of the Minneapolis Institute of Art. His artwork has been exhibited in Paris, London, and Santiago, Chile as well as in U.S. galleries and museums. Coggins has designed for a number of U.S. theaters including Théâtre de la Jeune Lune, Guthrie Theater, and La Jolla Theater. His set for "The Deception" was chosen for "From the Edge," a U.S. exhibition on performance design that toured New York, Prague, and Moscow. He lives in Minneapolis.

From the perfect way the book fits in my hands, to the sumptuous paper on which David Coggins' delightful watercolors and stories reside, it is a total delight of the senses. Read this book from beginning to end, or simply open to a page and you'll be treated to splendid watercolor drawings of Paris and enchanting vignettes of David and his family in Paris. From tidbits about the Eiffel tower to strolls along the Jardin du Luxembourg, you will be transported into an artist and his family's delightful experiences in Paris. Although I have been to Paris several times, I now have a new list of amusements to discover on the next trip, including a handful of restaurants and little known adventures. Get this book for yourself and give as a gift. You and your friends will love it!!
What an enjoyable way to read about Paris and what to do while you're there; where to eat. I had never heard of this author but I enjoyed his casual writing style and his watercolor paintings interspersed throughout the book.A delightful book!
The author is a friend of mine and his musings about his trips to Paris made me smile wide, as I know each of his children and that helped me visualize. David Coggins is a modern day renaissance man. A true artist. This Stratton loves this book.
