Super helpful map that got us around Spain in a rental car. The green boxes around cities denote that there is something very worth seeing there. Follow those. The bigger the box, the bigger the city. We tried to avoid the big cities and see the smaller venues where fewer tourists go. We were not disappointed.

I'd probably give it 5 stars but I'm just one of those people that rarely does give anything a highest rating unless it's obviously the best thing I've ever encountered. This is a good map. It has a laminated cardboard "cover" which lends stability and will no doubt improve on longevity. The scale's good and includes some of the smaller roads which I was interested in and it highlights scenic routes which is great as I will be doing some motorcycle riding and this will help me decide those routes. Good level of detail with road numbering, sights, etc and the legend's in 4 languages. The entire southern half is on one side, the northern half on the other. It does not include zoomed in mini-maps of the cities so if you need city level information another map will be needed. It has a good index of all the cities/towns and includes all the islands and ferry routes.

Per usual, Michelin did a great job with the map. All roads shown including the very secondary roads. It pretty large, measuring about 42"x38", but you can't show all this detail with a smaller map in my opinion. Be aware it is not in English, but I expected that having purchased other Michelin European maps previously. I have a Garmin GPS for navigation, but sometimes you do need to check details when deciding exactly where to go before plugging in waypoints. Even though I love the GPS, I still like to see "the big picture" that you simply cannot see on a 5" GPS screen. And this is the latest 2013 version, so the new highways are all there.

Happy to see the 2012 edition is now available. Last issue was 2007 and lots of new roads, especially E highways have been built. Nice to know if getting from point A to B is necessary, but drive the two-lanes, they are much more interesting. Be careful when buying this Michelin 734 map as most vendors still have inventories of the 2007 edition and would like to get rid of them. The 2007 edition has a map of Iberia on the cover.

Even thought I had a new Garmin as well as the country SIM, I bought this (and one in France) as a back up in case my Garmin was stolen, lost, or quite working. The maps are great, clear, and sufficient detail and were a real help in planning daily trips. Note that you can also buy regional Michelin maps that provide even more detail.

A little to congested for what I wanted it for and hard to read when trying to ascertain what state you were looking up.I had been reading a series on the "Peninsular Wars" back when Wellington and Napoleon were going at it, and wanted to get an idea of the specific movements of their armies as they fought the many protracted battles and sieges.

The maps content is good, however I was expecting it to be of similar quality to the mapof Ireland I got from them which was made of a more water resistant paper and had the map on both sides. This is one sided which may be better for some peoples needs but for me, biking across Spain, more compact would have been better.

This map was very inconsistent in the numbering system. I thought it would coordinate with the guidebook, but it was just too small and not detailed enough. The route numbers were all over the place and often did not correspond with the roads we were actually on. Often there were connections through the many round-abouts that were not indicated on the map. It was also very difficult to tell which roads were toll and which were not. All in all, very confusing.

Lafitte’s Treasure by Joe Corso is an incredibly well written novel of treasure hunting, action, and adventure. During the War of 1812, the British were looking to gain a quick victory over the Americans. They decided that they were going to hire on pirates to do some of the fighting for them, a way to keep British lives safe. A famous pirate, Jean Lafitte, is asked by the British to join in the fight. Jean is a pirate, there is no doubt of this, but he is also a man of honor and he passes on the offer preferring to live his life according to them code of honor he believes in. Andrew Jackson is attempting to rally the nation into fighting the British, but he has few men, not money or weapons or ammunition. The fight will be over before it even begins. But, Jackson recognizes Lafitte’s refusal of the British as an opportunity to gain a valuable ally. Years later, the Americans had won the war and a secret treasure had been buried. Now, treasure hunters are racing to find the treasure using clues left to them by their ancestors. The profits could be huge but the dangers are just as massive. Dangerous men are also hunting the treasure and they will do whatever they need to to be able to get their hands on it. I was very impressed with this story and the creativity it took to put it together. Think of National Treasure, but better, and that will give you a general idea of what waits for you inside these pages. Don’t hesitate, just get it.

Agreement is reached and Lafitte sets out to raise the necessary money, all the while protecting himself by hiding some of his own treasure along with the property owner’s deeds that were used to obtain bank loans. Time passes and in an attic Julianna’s mother finds an old sea chest. Julianna is the great-great granddaughter of Jean Lafitte’s brother, Pierre. Amongst the possessions is a diary pointing to Lafitte’s lost treasure. Setting Julianna on a treasure hunt for treasure she feels now belongs to her.What an amazing novel! All the elements one could desire are here, believable characters, history, mystery, adventure and even a touch of romance. Corso writes as though adventurous excitement courses through his veins, as there is suspense each step along the way keeping the reader captivated and inspired to find Lafitte’s lost treasure. I couldn’t get enough of this historical fiction that kept me wanting more. Not only is the history detailed with accuracy, but the hunt is suspenseful and exciting. Well done, Corso, well done.

LAFITTE’S TREASURE : UNLIMITED HISTORICAL FICTION ADVENTUREMr. Corso has written a great book, entertaining, easy to read, lots of action, a plot that captures the reader’s attention. He’s even chosen his title excellently, optimised, so to speak, so a reader looking for historical fiction and adventure is promised it LIMITLESSLY. That’s going just a bit too far but Mr. Corso is readily forgiven. I could point to typos and one or two problems with layout. Fabrication too is stretched to the point of disbelief when a break-out-of-prison plan is presented “ready-made” on a plate to two unfortunate guys, John W. Hardin and Dutch Henry, framed and imprisoned by the big baddies. However, my reservations will just have to wait. I haven’t given five stars to any novel I’ve read so far (reserve those fives for my own books!) but this is a five-star action adventure with a page-turning plot. It gets its reader indignant too and that’s great. Justice systems are fallible (take note!) and it does absolutely no harm to mention it every day or two! As I came near to the end of the novel, I was reading fast because the bad guys were getting their comeuppance, I was once again irritated by the over-fabricated plot by which I mean it was all too contrived and too much in my face but I realised that that was part of the enjoyment in the end. I also had to put aside the fact that the justice system suddenly does a very good job very conveniently for Mr. Corso. Just one of those quibbles that won’t go away but needs to be put aside! Mr. Corso, well done. Five stars and merited!

Along with the adventure, there is a gentle love story as Eddie meets he beautiful descendant of Jean Lafitte’s brother, Pierre.
